My Crafty Abode Series – Copper Bloom

I really love metal and all of the wonderful textures and finishes they come in.
I especially love the rusty patina copper gets when left outside in severe weather.
This photo is a little metal flower sculpture in my garden…a small detail…just stuck in a random plant…but one that makes me smile every time I see it.
It was probably less than $3 from a discount home goods store. ..but I think it adds a little sparkle. Like a piece of jewelry. Once the rust started, I am sure my husband thought it was ruined and should be thrown away but I like that it looks old and worn.
Like a memento or treasure from the past.

That is what I did in the Air Force. I was a sheet metal worker and did body work on air craft. The flower looks really pretty when you click on it and enlarge it.
