I think these earrings are a good example of combining unlikely themes to create something unexpected and a little whimsical.
Using the detailed, metal, vintage sunflower charms with the black and white, plastic, animal print beads, I think, gives the plastic beads some credibility.
Still fun but not like children's dress up jewelry...which could easily happen with black and white plastic!
In this case, I like how the shapes of the components are both graphic but completely different.
Hanging from sterling silver ear wires, these earrings are youthful but still appropriate for any age.
