A little decorative trick...
I wanted a tile effect in my bathroom but didn't want to do actual tile.
What I did was print an image...cut it into tile shape squares, decoupaged it on the wall...and hand painted dark "grout"lines. Then I added a coat of polyurethane for shine and protection.
be sure to curve the corners for a more realistic effect...
You could also do this with a poster, photograph or even fabric!
